How To Do Hair Spa At Home

Hair spas are a real savior for dry, frizzy, and damaged hair but who has the time to visit the salon every once in a while, right? And, also not to forget each time we go for a hair spa it puts a huge hole in our pocket. So, we have got a solution for you. Why not try a hair spa at home? Yes, it’s super easy and super effective.
We have compiled for you easy and simple hair spa steps that you can follow in the comfort of your home. And, the steps include everything from your kitchen so you don’t have to spend extra shells in purchasing the ingredients.

Step 1 An Oil Massage

Always start with an oil massage. Oil massage will nourish your dry ends and stimulate the blood flow to the scalp. Also, oil massage is great if you want to grow your hair thick. You can opt for any oil say it to be olive oil, coconut oil, mustard oil whichever suits you. All the oils are equally beneficial for your hair. All are infused with healthy fats and nourishing properties.
Massage the oil really well to your scalp and on the ends too. Keep it for about an hour.

Step 2 Hot Towel Wrap

It’s very important to provide steam to your hair. Once you have applied hair oil take a towel and dip it in hot water. Wrap the towel around your hair and keep to for about an hour. Not only the hot towel will make sure the oil penetrates deep inside the roots of your hair but will also add shine to your hair. If you have super frizzy hair we would highly recommend you follow a hot towel wrap after oiling your hair so that you get frizz-free hair.

Step 3 Cleanse Your Hair

After an hour when the oil has penetrated deep inside the roots cleanse your hair. For cleansing your hair you should always prefer SLS-free shampoo and conditioner. The SLS and parabens are very harmful to your hair and hence you should never use these.
Prefer using a mild cleanser and conditioner and rinse your hair very nicely removing the oil from your hair. If necessary you can repeat the process the second time but make sure your hair is thoroughly cleansed and don’t forget to condition your hair.

Step 4 Deep Conditioning

The next step is very important and the effectiveness of your hair spa solely depends on this step. You can opt for deep conditioning masks available in the market or make your deep conditioning mask at home. We would prefer you to opt for a home-made deep conditioning mask as it would be natural and super effective. We have mentioned a few home-made conditioning masks that work amazingly well.
Banana + Olive oil
Egg White + Coconut Oil
Avocado + Yogurt
Honey+ Aloe Vera
So, these are a few home-made conditioning masks that you can opt for.

Step 5 Natural Dry

Once, you have applied the hair mask and kept it for about an hour, rinse it well with cold water. Always use cold water for cleansing your hair. Cold-water adds shine to your hair, removes frizz, and make your hair strands strong. So, always prefer cold water over a hot water rinse.
Once you have cleansed your hair thoroughly with cold water naturally dry your hair. Don’t opt for blow-drying as it will vanish the whole idea of a hair spa. While your hair is 70% dry apply a fair amount of hair serum to the strands.
