Lavender oil is packed with antimicrobial properties and because of that, it works effectively against bacterial and fungal problems such as scalp infections and dandruff. Additionally, lavender oil also helps in soothing your scalp, which further helps in combating dry skin and hair, leaving the locks looking super smooth and silky. Mix a few drops of oil with two tablespoons of carrier oil such as olive oil or coconut oil and apply it to your scalp and hair. You can either keep it on overnight or just 30 minutes before washing your hair.

Rosemary oil

Rosemary oil is known for its woody and minty aroma, which can be too strong for some people, and if you are one of those people, you can give this oil a pass, but we would like to mention some benefits of using rosemary oil for hair. Rosemary oil is a rich source of antioxidants; it makes for an ideal choice for people dealing with premature greying and hair thinning. Other than that, it also helps in promoting hair growth by improving blood circulation in the scalp and stimulating hair follicles. You can use this oil by mixing about 10 drops of it with heated 3 tablespoons of olive oil, massage it thoroughly on your hair and scalp, and wrap your mane with a hot towel. After 30 minutes, you can wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

Peppermint oil

Peppermint oil is extremely soothing and calming in nature, but only a few people know that this oil has the ability to deep cleanse the scalp and open up the clogged pores caused by product build-up or grime. This oil works particularly well for those who have dry scalp and are dealing with dandruff. Mix 5 to 6 drops of this oil with two to three tablespoons of warm coconut oil and apply it to your scalp and hair. Leave it on for about 15-20 minutes before cleansing your hair with a shampoo.

Chamomile oil

Chamomile oil is associated with a lot of amazing benefits. It not only helps in soothing your scalp, but it also makes your hair shinier, softer, and frizz-free. Also, if you are having a sudden itch to dye your hair but want to make it look more natural at the same time; chamomile oil would come in super handy since it is known to lighten hair naturally. Take 5 drops of chamomile oil, one tablespoon of sea salt, and one-third cup of baking soda in a bowl, add warm water to it and prepare a thick paste to apply all over your mane. After letting it stay for 30 minutes, wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
