Indulge in deep conditioning sessions every once a week

Not getting a chance to get a hair spa at a salon? No worries, as long as you have the right product with you, you can indulge in deep conditioning session at the comfort of your home only. You will only need one product to perform this method and that is a regular conditioner. When you wash your hair, make sure to deep condition it with the use of your regular conditioner, wrap a warm towel over your head for some time to let the moisture penetrate deeper into the hair shaft. After keeping the product on for some time, rinse it with cold water and let it air dry. Make sure to not use any heat on hair or else it will defeat the whole purpose.

Give your hair a hot oil massage

Oiling has always proved to be one of the best ways to treat your hair problems. Massaging your hair with hot oil every once a week will help to nourish it and make your hair stronger and healthier at the same time. A hot oil treatment allows your hair shaft to get moisturized from within. You can use coconut oil mixed with a few drops of essential oil, this concoction will help in treating dry and frizzy hair.

Don’t wash your hair every day

While we know that all the dirt and pollution in the air can leave your hair messy and damaged, it doesn’t mean you will wash your hair every day to keep it clean and healthy. It’s a tempting offer to wash your hair daily, but it can prove to be extremely damaging for your poor tresses. Regular washing can strip your mane of its natural oils, leaving it dull, dry, and damaged. Therefore, you shouldn’t wash your hair more than twice or thrice a week. On days, when your hair is appearing greasy, you can stick to applying a dry shampoo, which not only absorbs the excess oil from your scalp but dirt as well.

Pay attention to your diet

Your diet plays a crucial role in the appearance and health of your skin and hair. Try adding foods to your diet that are rich in nutrients. A few nutrients like Vitamin A and C, iron supplements, and biotin are known to work excellently for dry hair. They make your tresses stronger and healthier and sometimes, also reverse the damage caused to it due to stress. Walnuts, series, salmon, etc. are a few of the food items to add to your routine.
